A soccer field with artificial turf, two multifunctional courts for various games, a gymnastics court with a soft synthetic cover and 10 exercise machines have been installed between the Riga 89 Secondary School and Mežciems Elementary School. There are three running tracks around the area with synthetic sports coverings and a long jump section with a synthetic rubber covering. A new multifunctional cycling track has been created in an area of almost 750 square meters. A playground for students of the schools and local residents has been built, pavement is installed and other landscaping jobs are complete. "One of our main values is the creation of a well-planned and quality environment. Therefore, alongside the construction of large buildings and preservation the historical buildings in Riga, we can take on new and interesting projects that will improve the quality of life for our children and youth'', pleased with the accomplishments is Ainārs Leitēns, Chairman of the Board of the construction company Velve. The sports and recreation area in Mežciems was created by the request of Riga City Council Property Department.
