SIA VELVE, registration number: LV40003064412, hereinafter referred to as VELVE, respects the rights of its employees, collaboration partners, customers and contractors to privacy and lawful data processing, and strictly adheres to the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 (General Data Protection Regulation) (hereinafter referred to as the GDPR), the Personal Data Protection Law of 21 July 2018 and other valid laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia when processing their data.


As soon as the natural person’s data reach the VELVE data processing systems either upon the request of VELVE or according to the laws and regulations/contracts, VELVE becomes the data controller subject to the respective rights and obligations.


VELVE implements and maintains appropriate physical, electronic and administrative security measures to prevent misuse or unsanctioned access, leak, loss or deletion of the natural person’s data.


When processing the natural person’s data held by VELVE, VELVE clearly observes the principles defined by the GDPR including:


* requests and acquires personal data merely to the extent necessary for a particular purpose;


* the acquisition of the natural person’s data is justified by the valid laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia or is necessary for the fulfilment of obligations stipulated by a contract.


A third party may receive the natural person’s data from VELVE merely to the extent necessary for their particular function and purpose, and it may be processed strictly for the purposes defined in the mutual agreements. VELVE carefully evaluates and allows access to the natural person’s data solely to those service providers that have undertaken to comply with their obligations under the data protection legislation and are able to ensure the appropriate data protection level.


When processing personal data obtained by contactless means (CCTV) critical for the protection of the physical person’s interests and property, VELVE uses the equipment without audio recording function. The CCTV records have no back-up copies.


Upon request to VELVE, data subjects shall have the right, at their ease and convenience, to obtain information on their personal data, access them and submit a request for the amendment/rectification, deletion, restriction and transmission of the data, object or impose restrictions to the processing of their data, withdraw consent, without prejudice to the processing of the data by the time of the withdrawal, provided that this shall comply with the provisions of the GDPR and shall not contradict valid laws and regulations of the Republic of Latvia.
